Who are the London Greeters?
Greeters are volunteers who share their love of their city with visitors, including those coming to London for the very first time. Put simply, they have a genuine love for their city and a desire to share their insights with visitors. Born out of the 2012 Olympics and a desire to build on its legacy, these Londoners will show you parts of their city in their unique way, whilst encouraging you to discover the unexplored neighbourhoods.
We want to give visitors a very warm welcome to one of the greatest cities in the world. When you’re new to it, a big city can sometimes feel daunting, especially when you’re off the beaten track. A London Greeter can help you feel at home and see the capital through the eyes of someone who lives here and knows it well.
The greeter perspective will bring the locale to life and show you fascinating aspects of this great city. We can show you round the neighbourhoods where we live and work, and introduce you to local specialities, attractions, parks, alleys and sides streets.
If you have a special interest we can match you with a London Greeter who shares your enthusiasm. So, if you have a passion for local history, culture, architecture, sport, arts or anything else, let us know! Explore our popular London Greets.
Alternatively, let your visit unfold whichever way it will. Take advantage of your Greeter’s knowledge and experience and discover something fresh and new about London. Enquire about a London Greet.
Our operation is staffed by volunteers and our greets are entirely free, we rely on donations to help support our work.
